Over the last several weeks, Celtics City , a documentary series about the history of the Boston Celtics, has released new episodes on the Max streaming service. Each episode delves into specific eras of Celtics basketball and its impact on the city of Boston.
These episodes delved into the Celtics' success from the 1950s to the present. The Celtics have won 18 championships, and their first title came in 1957, so their success has been spread out over multiple decades.
The Isaiah Thomas era was among the eras of Celtics basketball that did not come up in Celtics City. That time in the Celtics franchise was brief, but it was a very exciting time, even if the Celtics weren't contenders.
Given the excitement of this era, it was unexpected news for many when they found out it was missing from the doc. Thomas himself caught wind of this and shared his thoughts on the matter on his X account.
"There’s a doc? And our part ain’t in it? lol who produced that smh," he said. "Those were crucial years to what’s going on now. Whoever did that is crazy."

Thomas played for the Celtics for two and a half seasons from 2015 to 2017. The Celtics made the playoffs every single year he was there, and they made it to the Eastern Conference Finals in his last year with the team.
Thomas may not have won the Celtics a title, but at his peak, he averaged 28.9 points in his last season with the team, the third-highest average in franchise history in a single season behind only Jayson Tatum and Larry Bird.
Thomas also played a significant role in the Celtics' recruiting Al Horford and Gordon Hayward in free agency in 2016 and 2017.
