Former Gonzaga point guard Andrew Nembhard continues to thrive on the NBA’s biggest stage, playing a critical role in guiding the Indiana Pacers to the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The third-year pro delivered a clutch all-around performance in Indiana’s 119–118 overtime win over the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 5, securing a 4–1 series victory.

Nembhard finished the night with 15 points, six rebounds, six assists, and three steals, making a major impact on both ends of the floor. Nembhard made key plays down the stretch in overtime and continues to show that he’s one of the most reliable guards in the league, particularly under pressure.

In his last 10 playoff games, Nembhard is averaging nearly 18 points per game, over six assists, and has a true shooting percentage of over 66%.

The win propels Indiana to a second-round matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers and underscores the development of Nembhard since his college days at Gonzaga. Known for his steady leadership and poise during his time in Spokane, Nembhard has transitioned those traits seamlessly to the professional game. Since being selected 31st overall in the 2022 NBA Draft, he has emerged as one of the league’s most dependable young guards.

Through the first round, Nembhard averaged 15 points and 4.5 assists per game, while shooting nearly 50 percent from three-point range. His strong decision-making, defensive instincts, and timely scoring have made him a valuable piece of Indiana’s postseason success.

Gonzaga fans have watched proudly as another Bulldog product shines in the NBA Playoffs. Nembhard’s rise continues to affirm Gonzaga’s reputation for developing high-IQ guards ready for the next level. With the Pacers still dancing in the East, Nembhard’s ability to perform under pressure could be a deciding factor in Indiana’s playoff journey moving forward.
