Latvian professional basketball Janis Timma was reportedly found dead in Moscow.

According to a Russian state media outlet, Timma died of an apparent suicide. He was 32 years old.

The Memphis Grizzlies drafted Timma with the final pick of the 2013 NBA Draft. They traded him to the Orlando Magic two years later, and he played for their Summer League squad in 2021.

Timma averaged 6.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 20 G League games for the Osceola Magic. The organization mourned his passing on social media.

"The Osceola Magic are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic passing of Janis Timma," the G League affiliate wrote. "We would like to extend our deepest thoughts and condolences to his family, friends, and all that were close to him."

Timma played overseas for numerous professional teams over the last 16 years. The four-time Latvian All-Star won dunk contests and was named Finals MVP after leading Ventspils to a Baltic League championship in 2013.

The EuroLeague's Olympiacos paid tribute to Timma, who played for them in 2018.

"We are all shocked and saddened to learn the tragic news, that our former player, Janis Timma has passed away at the age of 32," Olympiacos wrote. "We will always remember him for his kind heart and his smile. Wishing to his family and his loved [ones] strength and peace during this time of grief. Jani, May You Find Eternal Peace. You will be missed."

Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis were among some NBA players to honor Timma on Instagram. The EuroLeague said it will hold a moment of silence before its Round of 16 and Round of 16 EuroCup games.

Timma's last club, Obradoiro, also shared a statement following the tragic news.

"From the moment he joined the team, he gave his all for our jersey, and for that, we will always be grateful," they said. "We extend our heartfelt support to Janis Timma's family and friends during this difficult time. May he rest in peace."
