Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray has stepped up his game for the 2025-26 NBA season. While he's always been the second option to Nikola Jokic, he's done more this season compared to the past. In the 20 games he's played, he's averaged 24.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 6.6 assists.
Murray is averaging a career-high in points, while also shooting his best efficiency. For the first time in his career, the Canadian star is shooting above 50% from the field. He's also making 45.2% of his attempts from beyond the arc.
On Wednesday, Murray had a masterclass that led to the Nuggets' 135-120 win over the Indiana Pacers. The star guard had 52 points, six rebounds and four assists on 90.9% shooting from deep. In his 11 3-point attempts, he only missed once.
After his impressive performance, former NBA player Chandler Parsons predicted that Murray would be selected for his first All-Star this season. Parsons argued about the one-time champion's All-Star case on Thursday's episode of FanDuel TV's "Run It Back."
“Yes, All-Star,” Parsons said. “Especially with the format now, he’s gonna be on that World Team. He’s the second-best Canadian player outside of SGA. They’re gonna need him for that format.

Parsons doubled down on his prediction, saying Murray will make the All-Star team even with the older format. It's a long time coming for the Nuggets star. He's come close to being on the team multiple times. However, the talent in the Western Conference backcourt hindered him from being selected.
“He’s always been on the fringe, he has been so close. He’s arguably the best player without an All-Star appearance. That’s gonna change this year, ‘cause I think he is a lock.”
Together with Jokic, Murray has willed the Nuggets to a 15-6 record. The strong display from the backcourt star has been a significant help for the Serbian star and the rest of the team.
