Former Nuggets Champion Hints at Return to Denver in Offseason Free Agency

It was a disappointing Game 2 for the Denver Nuggets on Monday night as they fell to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Monday’s game was another thriller between the two teams as the Clippers came out victorious with a hard-fought 105-102 win over the Nuggets.

With the victory, the Clippers now tie the series at a game apiece as they now head back to Los Angeles for Game 3 and 4.

While the Nuggets did lose the game, they still had an impressive performance and if were not for the missed free throws and multitude of turnovers, it may have been a different result.

During Monday’s game, former Nuggets champion Bruce Brown was in the building to watch his old team.

He was interviewed by Denver reporter Katy Winge, who asked him if he would want to come back to Denver at some point in the future.

“I’m a free agent, so if that opportunity presents itself, I’ll look over it, but you never know,” Brown responded to Winge’s question. “I miss playing here.”

This is a massive statement by Brown who could return to the Nuggets in the offseason if they elect to go after him in free agency.

Of course, Brown played a key role during the 2023 NBA Finals run and it is clear that the Nuggets have missed his impact following his departure from the team after their championship.

Since Brown left the Nuggets in the 2023 offseason, he has had a wild ride throughout the league as he has played for three different teams in two seasons.

This season, he spent time with the Toronto Raptors before they traded him to the New Orleans Pelicans at the trade deadline in the deal that landed Toronto Brandon Ingram.

With Brown now entering free agency once again in the summer, it is clear that he would welcome a return to the Nuggets but there should be many teams interested in him due to his impact on both ends of the court.
