Former Phoenix Suns two-way guard is on the move to one of team’s biggest rivals. The Los Angeles Clippers are signing the 23-year-old guard to a one-year deal, according the ESPN’s Shams Charania. The Arizona native was drafted 29th overall in the 2022 draft and has spent each of his first three seasons on a different roster, finding himself in Phoenix last offseason.
Free agent guard TyTy Washington Jr. has agreed to a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, Kevin Bradbury of LIFT Sports Management tells ESPN. Washington, a 2022 first-round pick, enters his fourth NBA season after playing 16 games for the Suns in 2024-25.

Washington spent very little time on the main roster, appearing in 16 games and only 7.4 minutes per game. Injuries led him to an increase playing time late last season, where he had his best performance against the Houston Rockets, dropping 11 points, four rebounds and three assists in the 119-111 loss.
He spent most of the year in the G League, where he become one of the best players in the league. In the Valley Suns inaugural season, Washington averaged 22.3 points, 7.3 assists and 4.9 rebounds in 21 games, earning himself a G-League All-Star selection. Washington led the Suns to the Western Conference Semi-Finals, where they would lose to the eventual G League champions: the Stockton Kings.
While not given much of an opportunity to play with the pros in Phoenix, Washington is given another opportunity to play with his fourth team in his short career and prove he’s an NBA player.
