Free agents DeMar DeRozan, Kyle Lowry interested in joining Lakers?

It appears two of the top free agents in this year's class are eyeing a move out West.

According to Brad Turner of The Los Angeles Times, San Antonio Spurs star DeMar DeRozan and Toronto Raptors veteran Kyle Lowry are interested in joining the Los Angeles Lakers.

DeRozan grew up in California and also played his lone collegiate season at USC. The 31-year-old averaged 21.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 6.9 assists last season while shooting 49.5% from the field.

Lowry, meanwhile, has spent the last nine seasons in Toronto after being acquired in a trade with the Houston Rockets. The 35-year-old averaged 17.2 points 5.4 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game last season while shooting 43.6% from the field and 39.6% from deep.

Lowry and DeRozan were also teammates on the Raptors from 2012-18.

In addition to Lowry and DeRozan, the Lakers have also been linked to Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul and Washington Wizards star Russell Westbrook this summer.

L.A. is reportedly eyeing a veteran point guard, and Lowry certainly fits the bill. As for DeRozan, it's unclear how he would fit into the Lakers' lineup, but a move to the Staples Center isn't totally out of the question.
