On Monday night, the Golden State Warriors lost to the Boston Celtics at home by 40 points, which was, somehow, not their worst loss of the season. On Dec. 19, the Warriors lost by 51 points to the Memphis Grizzlies.
For a team that entered the season with title hopes and got off to a hot 12-3 start, it's easy to feel the walls creeping in, and Stephen Curry and Draymond Green can see the writing on the wall.
The Warriors, who are a lowly 6-9 over their last 15 games, are missing the "positive vibes" that made them so fun to watch during their dynasty era.
For Curry, who was the face of the franchise during their run of dominance, getting back the vibes that encapsulated his peak is a challenge.
"We need to have positive vibes in the locker room no matter what happens in a win or a loss," said Curry postgame. "You just got to be able to come with the right attitude. It's a belief thing that we can win whatever game is in front of us."
The Warriors are missing an elite offense and defense as well as being short "vibes," but the sentiment is a fair one. Only halfway through the season, it's easy to see why the Warriors have given up and seemingly taken themselves out of the running for a savior ahead of the Feb. 6 NBA trade deadline.
For Golden State, their dynasty has been over for quite some time, but it's just now hitting them how far they have fallen despite still having Green and Curry on the roster.
