The Georgia Bulldogs men's basketball program is trending towards punching the team's ticket to March Madness after a grueling SEC schedule. Dawgs fans will be intrigued to learn about the latest NCAA bracket projections.

Georgia could have their hands full in the team's first-round matchup. For now, the Bulldogs will look to improve the team's NCAA tournament stock with a deep run in the SEC tourney.

Heading into the conference tournament, the Dawgs picked up blowout wins over the South Carolina Gamecocks and Texas Longhorns to close the regular season. Georgia helped solidify the program's March Madness chances with an 88-83 win over the No. 4 Florida Gators on Feb. 25.

No. 11 seeded Georgia faces No. 14 Oklahoma Sooners to begin the SEC tournament on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. EST.

ESPN analyst Joe Lunardi's bracketology predictions updated on Tuesday has Georgia as a No. 9 seed in the East Region. The Dawgs are projected to face the No. 8 UConn Huskies, the defending national champions.

UConn has failed to live up to the preseason expectations as a threat to pull off a three-peat. The Huskies face a long road to winning the program's third straight title as a projected No. 8 seed.

As for the Dawgs, Georgia is attempting to ignore the praise that has accompanied the team's stellar season. Noise that would only get louder with a potential win over UConn in the NCAA tournament.

“We can’t let the outside noise in, because that’s poison, " future NBA hooper Asa Newell said back in Jan., per DawgNation.com. “We’re just trusting the process, we don’t want to get too high or too low. We’re trying to raise the standard of Georgia basketball.”
