Giannis Antetokounmpo amazed by Grayson Allen's unreal dunk - "That must have been the dunk of the year"
USA TODAY Sports

Milwaukee Bucks wingman Grayson Allen connected on only one field goal in the Milwaukee Bucks' 149-136 win over the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night.

It was a massive poster slam over former teammate Jordan Nwora with 8:37 to go in the fourth and also the game's most impactful two points. It gave the Bucks the spark they needed to run away with the game. Afterward, Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo had nothing but admiration for the 27-year-old.

"That must have been the dunk of the year," said the Greek Freak.

Teammates in awe of the dunk

Giannis has had his fair share of spectacular slams over his decorated career, so he knows a thing or two about rising up and dunking it over a defender. That's why he was all praise for Allen's big moment.

"Probably had the dunk of the year. Probably had the dunk of the year. Not only incredible dunk, but I think this is the first time I've seen Grayson show emotion. So that was pretty exciting," Giannis added.

Bucks big man Brook Lopez added he had a great vantage point of the play, calling Allen's dunk "unreal."

"Oh, I was right behind. I had a great angle. Man. He was so high over the rim. He must have been like, shoulder hit the rim. It was unreal. Absolutely. That was a phenomenal dunk and I'm very privileged to have a fantastic view of that," Brook shared.

Allen lost in the moment

Grayson didn't know what he had just done at the moment but realized it must have been good, given how hyped his teammates on the bench were.

"I didn't realize like what it really looked like in the moment," Allen said. "So when I got up and I saw everybody on the bench hyped, basically running out to the floor, I felt like oh, that must have been nice."
