"What in the world is going on?" That's probably what Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo was thinking after learning his social media accounts had been hacked Thursday.
The series of expletive tweets from Antetokounmpo's Twitter account included horrible things about Khris Middleton, LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kobe Bryant among other things. Of course the NBA MVP wasn't responsible for any of the tweets, and the Bucks are investigating the hacking.
Antetokounmpo later apologized via Twitter and expressed his apologies to everyone who not only was involved and included in the tweets, but anyone who had to witness them.

The tweets have since been deleted, and Anteokounmpo's girlfriend Mariah Riddlesprigger and his brother Kostas both added that Antetokounmpo's phone, email and bank accounts were hacked on top of his social media.
"Giannis' twitter, phone, email and bank accounts were hacked!" both Kostas and Riddlesprigger tweeted, according to ESPN's Eric Woodyard. "He genuinely apologizes for everything that was tweeted and he will be back as soon as possible! The things that were said by this hacker were extremely inappropriate and disgusting!"
Unfortunately, athlete and celebrity accounts are hacked far more often than anyone could imagine. Washington Capitals forward Brendan Leipsic saw his Instagram account hacked this week with his misogynistic private messages being leaked over various social media platforms.
Obviously the two situations mentioned above are very different, but they prove that hackers are no joke.
