After winning an NBA championship with the Milwaukee Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo has established himself in the stratus of 'superstar' in the NBA. Giannis was already one of the best players in the league before the championship win. But winning a ring and a Finals MVP on top of his two regular-season MVPs and Defensive Player Of The Year awards, along with his multiple All-Star, All-NBA, and All-Defensive selections makes him one of the most accomplished players actively playing in the NBA.

Since the championship win, many fans have wondered whether this would propel Giannis to becoming the face of the NBA. After all, Giannis would make an excellent representative for the league. He represents different cultures and nationalities, is an internationally recognized athlete, and is one of the most popular figures in the NBA. But despite all of this, one NBA analyst doesn't think Giannis can be the face of the NBA.

Emmanuel Acho spoke about Giannis Antetokounmpo potentially becoming the face of the NBA. And he noted that he doesn't think Giannis can be, despite him wanting that for him. He brought points about his name being difficult to pronounce, him not being a recognizable superstar like the likes of LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson, and many other faces of the past. In addition to that, Giannis being a Greek man of Nigerian origin makes him an unrelatable figure to a majority of the NBA's audience, which is American. Acho makes the point that Giannis has too much going against him.

Acho has come under fire for his comments about Giannis in recent days. Fans believe that he is being closed-minded about the potential of a non-American superstar becoming the face of the league. In addition to this, many fans noted that Giannis' multi-cultural background only serves him well when it comes to his chances of becoming the most recognizable star for the league. Antetokounmpo would be an excellent choice to be the flag bearer for the NBA going forward.
