Giannis Antetokounmpo’s situation has become extremely complicated, to say the least. With swirling rumors of his departure from the Milwaukee Bucks, the star player has, till now, remained in Milwaukee. However, according to reports, that tenure might end soon as the 31-year-old is expected to leave the Bucks this summer. And when that happens, a bidding bonanza is set to unfold.

It is quite expected that at least four teams are closely looking to acquire the Greek-Nigerian star’s services. In a recent prediction from Chris Mannix, the Golden State Warriors are the hot favorite to land the Athens-born. But along with them, the Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, and the New York Knicks might get really competitive.

“The teams that lined up for him before the February trade deadline-Golden State, Miami, Minnesota—will still be there, as could contenders like the Los Angeles Lakers, Houston and New York. Two teams can create a bidding war. A half dozen? That’s a bidding bonanza, one that could set Milwaukee up nicely for a post-Antetokounmpo future,” read the report.

Well, while there is no certainty where exactly the 2021 NBA champion will go, one thing is for sure. The 2021 NBA Finals MVP is definitely not going to stay with the Bucks. After all, a star like him would want to be with a team having serious championship prospects. But at the moment, Milwaukee doesn’t have the required depth.

Meanwhile, as Antetokounmpo is struggling with his injury, Shannon Sharpe dropped an interesting analogy.

Shannon Sharpe Questions Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Health

Due to his deteriorating health, reports suggested that the Bucks’ front office wants the 2-time MVP to sit out for the rest of the season. Now then, shedding light on Antetokounmpo’s situation, Sharpe recently compared him to an old car. He compared the star player to an old car someone is trying to sell.

“That’s a car, I know I want to get rid of it. I wanna park it. I will have it cleaned up, and I’m gonna sit it in the garage. Y’all come look at it if you want it. ‘Cause the more I drive it, the more chances somebody running into me. Or I’m not paying attention to, and somebody run and I run into somebody, now I decrease the value of it,” Sharpe opined.

Surely, with the situation intensifying, fans cannot wait to see which team Antetokounmpo will be suiting up for next.
