Giannis Antetokounmpo (34) Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

With 14 home games left on the schedule, Giannis Antetokounmpo is on pace to break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s 50-year record for most points scored at home by a Milwaukee Bucks player.

What Giannis Antetokoounmpo needs to do to break Kareem’s record

Kareem in 1971-72 tallied 1,200 points in home games for the Bucks. With 54 points in his home game Thursday night against the Los Angeles Clippers, Giannis now has 781 points in Bucks home games this season. He is averaging 35.5 points per game at home in 22 contests at Fiserv Forum. If Giannis averages 35.5 in his last 14 games at home, he will add 497 points to his 781 giving him 1,278 points in home games for the season, easily eclipsing the record by Jabbar.

There have been seven times in Bucks’ history where a player scored 1,000 or more points in home games in a season. Jabbar did it five times; Giannis has done it twice. Here are the Top 10 for most points scored at home by a Bucks player in a season.
