Giannis' younger brother, Kostas Antetokounmpo, receives two-way contract from Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls now have an Antetokounmpo on their roster — just not the one with which most basketball fans are familiar. The team has signed Giannis Antetokounmpo's younger brother, Kostas, to a two-way contract.

Kostas is a promising young player with plenty of potential. At only 24 years old, he has shown flashes of excellent skills and athleticism reminiscent of his more accomplished older brother. With his talent and physical gifts, the Bulls and their fans expect big things from Greek Freak 2.0.

Double duty for the Bulls

Kostas is no stranger to the Association, having played 19 games for the Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Lakers. In fact, Kostas can lay claim to winning an NBA title before Giannis, as he was part of the Lakers squad that won it all inside the Orlando bubble.

But this time, Kostas will have to make a name for himself in the NBA as his own player — not just as Giannis' younger brother. The two-way contract allows him to split his playing time between the Bulls and their G League affiliate, the Windy City Bulls. It will be a great opportunity for Kostas to develop his skills and show the NBA world that he has what it takes to be an elite player in the Association.

Showcase his versatility

Antetokounmpo will be one of two two-way players on the Bulls roster, the other being former University of Illinois standout Malcolm Hill. Although minutes will come few and far between, Kostas will have plenty of opportunities to showcase his versatility on the court.

With his size, length, and athleticism, Kostas can be a solid contributor to the Bulls in their G League games and during NBA play. Whether it's playing as a power forward or center, Antetokounmpo has all the tools to become a solid player in the NBA.

"For sure I'm a defensive player, able to guard multiple positions and switch 1 through 5 (point guard through center)," Antetokounmpo said during training camp. "And then offensively, I space the floor and run the floor too. I definitely want to improve on my outside shooting and my playmaking in general."
