Golden State Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins made a lot of people seething in anger Monday night, particularly Dubs fans. The former No. 1 overall pick was a disaster on the floor for the Warriors in their 119-112 home loss to the red-hot New York Knicks.
Wiggins started for the Warriors and played 24 minutes, and during that time, he was only able to muster seven points on 2/9 shooting from the floor. He had eight rebounds but finished with a plus/minus of minus-10.
Fans took their frustrations on Wiggins to social media where they relentlessly roasted the former Kansas Jayhawks star.
“Andrew Wiggins doesn’t exist to me anymore,” said X user @My_mommmm.

Here’s one from@ 27woorld: “Andrew Wiggins played a nasty game .. no excuses. No way you took 3 shots the first 3Q .. no aggression . No effort offensively. You have to be better man”
Another one (via @MoodyMuse4: “Andrew Wiggins. Thank you for all you did as a warrior. Never play again”
To be fair to Wiggins, he wasn’t the only Warrior who was a dud in the Knicks game. Draymond Green and Brandin Podziemski combined for just two points on an awful 1/9 shooting from the floor. Even Stephen Curry did not have a very efficient night by his lofty standards, scoring 27 points on 8/20 shooting from the floor. Klay Thompson came off the bench and shot just 6/15 for 18 points.
Still, the Warriors need to see Wiggins do better going forward. Over his last three games, he averaged just 13.3 points on a poor 36.8 field goal percentage.
