Golden State Warriors Announce Roster Move After Lakers Game
© Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Following their win over the Los Angeles Lakers, and prior to their game against the New York Knicks, the Golden State Warriors announced that the team had recalled Gui Santos from the G-League Santa Cruz Warriors.

Santos has been up and down between the NBA and G-League this season, but has had some nice moments for the Warriors at times. It truly takes everybody on a roster to get through the season, and while Santos is on a two-way deal, he has still been called upon at times for NBA rotation minutes, and has even closed games.

The Warriors picked up a huge win over the Lakers on Saturday, and are back in action against the Knicks on Monday. Every game is important for Golden State as they attempt to move up the Western Conference standings, and for this game against New York they will have Santos with the big club.

Golden State is trying to chase down a top-eight seed to avoid having to win two games in the play-in tournament to make the playoffs. It will not be easy, as the Warriors trail both the Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns by three games, but the Warriors are currently fully healthy, and believe they can make a serious run in these last few weeks.

This game against the Knicks is one the Warriors need to get.
