Grayson Allen’s Take on the 3-Point Contest Possibility
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Over the past year, the Phoenix Suns have undergone significant changes, revamping their starting lineup with two superstars and reshuffling their coaching staff to bring a new vibe to the Valley.

While some moves have proved to work better than others, Grayson Allen is a prime example of an offseason steal.

Coming over to Phoenix after spending the past two seasons with the Bucks, it was unsure how large of a role Allen would play with the Suns. At the time, his spot in the starting lineup was not yet solidified.

Now, Allen is averaging career highs in just about every statistical category possible and has arguably been the Suns best shooter.

Allen boasts an impressive 48% shooting rate from beyond the arc, leading the NBA. Additionally, he is the only player with a 50-40-90 shooting percentage this season.

Given his outstanding performance, Allen is being considered for the 3-point contest. When asked about the possibility of changing his All-Star break plans to participate in Indianapolis, Allen expressed openness, stating, “I would consider it.”

Despite trade rumors circulating as the deadline approaches, Allen has clarified that he is satisfied with his current position in Phoenix and would be disappointed if traded away.
