The Memphis Grizzlies have made it official, announcing the signing of guard Ty Jerome in a press release.
While it’s officially being called a “multiyear” deal, reports say that Jerome landed a three-year contract for $28 million. The third year is a player option.

Jerome, 28, averaged 12.5 points for the Cavaliers last season while shooting 51.6% from the field, 43.9% from beyond the arc and 87.2% from the foul line. He made $2.6 million on his way to being a Sixth Man of the Year candidate.
After the season, Jerome said on social media that he was never offered a contract by the Cavs — who landed guard Lonzo Ball in a trade with the Chicago Bulls. Cleveland sent Isaac Okoro to Chicago in the deal.

Jerome has played for the Phoenix Suns, Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors and Cavaliers. He has averaged 8.7 points for his career.
In Memphis, he’s likely to come off the bench behind star guard Ja Morant and newcomer Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, acquired in the Desmond Bane trade with Orlando earlier this offseason.
As the Grizzlies noted, Jerome was the only NBA player who qualified to post a 50-40-87 shooting split this past season.
