The Memphis Grizzlies got out to an 8-0 start against the Golden State Warriors, but lost forward Dillon Brooks just three minutes into the game when he was ejected for a flagrant two foul against Gary Payton II.
Brooks, 26, made significant contact with Payton's head when the latter attempted to make a layup early in the first quarter Tuesday night.

Seconds later, after Payton made a free throw, the Warriors' Draymond Green was forced to go to the locker room after taking an elbow to the face that drew blood.

In Game 1, Green was ejected for a flagrant two foul against the Grizzlies' Brandon Clarke. The Warriors went on to win the game, 117-116.
Brooks was second in scoring on the Grizzlies during the regular season with 18.4 points per game, along with an average of 2.8 assists and 3.2 rebounds. In a six-game series against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Brooks averaged 16.5 points per game.
