The Memphis Grizzlies turned in arguably their best performance of their first-round series against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday night.
Even with Ja Morant sidelined with a hip injury, the Grizzlies still put up a formidable fight against the No. 1 seed Thunder in what turned out to be a hard-fought Game 4 battle.
It was still the same result in the end, though, as Memphis suffered a 117-115 loss. While this was the closest margin in the four games of the series (the Grizzlies even lost by 51 points in Game 1), this does not take away from the fact that Memphis has been embarrassingly swept in the first round.
The Grizzlies took to social media to make their first post after their season officially came to an end. They posted the final score shortly after the game ended, along with a message for the fans.
"Hard Fought Battle. Thank You, Grizz Nation," the team posted on X.

It was Scotty Pippen Jr. who led the charge for the Grizzlies in this one, dropping a 30-point, 11-rebound double-double with Morant sidelined.
It was far from enough, though, as MVP frontrunner Shai Gilgeous-Alexander exploded for a playoff career-high 38 points to lead the Thunder to a Game 4 win.
It's back to the drawing board for the Grizzlies in the offseason after an ultimately disappointing 2024-25 campaign. OKC, on the other hand, will await the winner of the Denver Nuggets-Los Angeles Clippers series to determine their opponents in the West Semifinals.
