The Atlanta Hawks are set to sign swingman Kevon Harris to a 10-day contract, according to his agent, Daniel Hazan, as reported by Shams Charania of ESPN.
Harris, 27, spent two seasons on a two-way contract with the Orlando Magic from 2022 to 2024. He was in training camp with the Hawks last fall before joining the College Park Skyhawks, Atlanta’s G League affiliate, after being waived by the NBA team in October.
During his time with the Skyhawks in the 2024 Tip-Off Tournament and 2024-25 regular season, Harris has averaged 19.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.3 steals per game across 34 appearances. He has shot .463 from the field, .447 from three-point range, and .804 from the free-throw line, marking his best season as a three-point shooter with 2.6 makes per contest.
Although Harris appeared in just two NBA games for Orlando last season, he was more active during the 2022-23 campaign, averaging 4.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 0.5 assists in 34 games off the bench for the Magic.
The Hawks have an open spot on their 15-man roster, so no additional moves are necessary to accommodate Harris. He will earn $119,972 on his 10-day contract, which will carry an identical cap hit for Atlanta.
If Harris officially signs before Friday’s game against Oklahoma City, the contract will run through March 9, covering the Hawks’ next five games. Should he sign after Saturday, the deal would still allow him to be active for up to five games, with the Hawks scheduled to play again on March 10.
