Heat Emerge as Potential Landing Spot For 35-Year-Old All-Star

After what has been a restless and exciting start to the NBA offseason thus far, several difference-makers remain on the market.

A recent article published by Bleacher Report's Zach Buckley highlights the most suitable landing spots for the best players left on the trade block.

This list includes six-time All-Star DeMar DeRozan, who, according to a report shared by Jason Anderson of the Sacramento Bee, will be shopped around in the trade market by the Sacramento Kings.

DeRozan averaged 22.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 77 appearances last season, all of which were starts.

Despite entering the closing period of his career, the 35-year-old has shown that he still has what it takes to score the ball at a remarkably efficient clip.

According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, the Heat have been pegged as a potential landing spot for DeRozan this summer.

Outside of acquiring sharpshooting Italian gem Simone Fontecchio in a sign-and-trade acquisition with the Detroit Pistons, Pat Riley and the Heat have done very little to start the offseason.

DeRozan could fill the Heat's needs for generating fluent offense in the half-court, with his high IQ and creative game capable of paying massive dividends.

As Riley looks to build around stars Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo, getting a deal done for DeRozan must be a priority this summer.

After a disappointing season that saw the team deal away Jimmy Butler to the Golden State Warriors and suffer a playoff sweep by Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Heat have a major need to obtain stars.

DeRozan, one of the most decorated scorers in the league over the last decade, has an opportunity to send Heat faithful into a frenzy.
