Heat – Spurs play in Kaseya Center (again)
Mike Watters-USA TODAY Sports

The Heat play the Spurs again at the Kaseya Center on the second night of a back to back, so here’s the preview. The Heat featured a lineup of Tyler Herro, Terry Rozier, Jimmy Butler, Caleb Martin and Bam Adebayo against the Magic. The lineup exploded for 121 points. Will it happen tonight? or will it be a trap game since they play Boston on Sunday and Milwaukee next Tuesday.

Spurs point #3 — The Spurs are very, very young.

Check out this article here on how Jeremy Sochan is worried about why he wasn’t selected to a second straight Rising Stars challenge. It is because he has been playing at point guard to be able to be on the court at the same time as Victor Wembanyama. Sochan doesn’t like it as this article here on Inside the Spurs on SI.com highlights. He has been removed from ball-handling duties as of December. Devin Vassell is the man to watch in the Spurs lineup along with Wembanyama.

Heat point #2 — The Heat may or may not do anything at the trade deadline.

The articles are everywhere. Check out here the article on Heat Nation on how the team will explore the Caleb Martin trade market. This article here has Orlando Robinson possibly floated in a deal with the Denver Nuggets. Inside the Heat fansite has an article here about “Low Cost trade targets.” Tyler Herro is probably walking around the locker room with the hair standing up on the back of his neck with all the talk. In my opinion, the Heat have enough to move forward and compete with the Conference leaders, they just have to stay healthy.

The Heat play the Celtics this Sunday. The Celtics walloped Miami during their seven game losing streak, but this article from Nik Land here says they are looking to be active at the trade deadline.

Game point # 1 — Will the offense use tonight’s game to stay sharp?

The offense last night for the Heat was on fire. All five players in the lineup scored in double digits. The team killed Orlando in “Points in the Paint,” “Fastbreak points” and “Rebounds.” The key point was early in the third quarter. The Magic got to 52-58 but then they went cold in shooting because of the Heat’s defense. The Heat built up the lead as they usually do, turning defensive plays into offense. The Magic were committing turnovers on bad passes, missing shots and committing fouls. This performance is what fans have been waiting for, so to feast on the young Spurs would be great.
