The Heat have waived guard Alondes Williams and forward Drew Peterson, the team announced in a press release.
Peterson, 23, is 6-foot-8 and went undrafted out of USC this past summer. He signed a training camp deal with the Heat in August, appearing in one preseason game and recording two points and five rebounds.
Williams, 24, is 6-4 and went undrafted out of Wake Forest in 2022. He signed a two-way deal with the Nets last season, appearing in one game. He spent the rest of the year with the Long Island Nets of the G League.
Like Peterson, Williams signed with the Heat in August and appeared in one preseason game — scoring nine points and grabbing our rebounds.
Both players are likely headed to the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the G League. If so, they will be eligible for a $75,000 bonus should they remain with Miami’s affiliate for 60 days.
