The Boston Celtics 124-97 blowout victory vs. the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday, coupled with the Brooklyn Nets besting the Toronto Raptors 115-103, propelled the C's into the quarterfinals of the NBA's inaugural In-Season Tournament.
They now face the Indiana Pacers in the knockout round. That matchup takes place on Monday, Dec. 4, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Thursday, Steve Bulpett of Heavy, citing the NBA, reported if Boston loses that game, then on Friday, Dec. 8, it will host the loser of Tuesday's quarterfinal tilt between the Milwaukee Bucks and New York Knicks.
The winner of the Celtics-Pacers game faces whatever side advances between the Bucks and Knicks in the In-Season Tournament semifinals on Thursday, Dec. 7, in Las Vegas.
The championship is on Saturday, Dec. 9.
