Former Boston Celtics star Paul Pierce got blasted on the PBD Podcast over his recent hot takes on marriage and why men should not get married at all.

In one of the recent episodes of the PBD Podcast , co-host Vincent Oshana attributed the hot take of Paul Pierce to his history of bad relationships and his being “bitter” about it.

“I don’t know, like what the relationship was, if there were prenups, and if there’s all this,” Oshana said. “It sounds like, you know, he’s paid a lot of money. Maybe he did, or it looks like from the sound of him being like that, I don’t think he signed a prenup with the earlier ones. So, he’s probably bitter, and he’s spending a lot of money.”

“Desire and done playing around like done being that guy,” he went on, agreeing that biology might play a factor in Pierce’s take that men should only marry at 70. “And then number two, you’re you’re you’re old and you want somebody like, you know what some other people do? They get a dog, they get a cat.”

“But I think it’s I think it’s, you know, he’s been hurt. He’s he’s he’s bitter right now. And by the way, again, that’s his prerogative. That’s what he wants. Good luck.”

In one of his recent podcast episodes, Paul Pierce made a bold statement that men should not marry until they are at least 70, citing that there are no benefits to it, even downplaying marriages as “transactional” relationships.

Paul Pierce Sparks Debate with Controversial Marriage Comments

NBA legend Paul Pierce has ignited a heated discussion with his recent remarks on marriage, claiming it is “only for poor people and old people.” Speaking on his podcast, “The Truth After Dark,” Pierce argued that marriage offers “no real advantage for men” and is primarily about financial stability.

“When you’re broke, you marry to combine incomes, and when you’re old, you marry so someone can take care of you,” Pierce said.

While some fans found humor in Pierce’s blunt honesty, others slammed his views as misogynistic and outdated. Critics pointed out that many successful men, including LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, have thriving marriages, challenging Pierce’s assertion that marriage is a disadvantage for men.

In response to the backlash, Pierce doubled down, stating, “Every relationship is based on sex. Once that wears down, people move on. That’s just reality.”

Despite the controversy, Paul Pierce remains firm in his stance, insisting that he has “no plans to marry again” and believes relationships are “always transactional.”
