Hornets' Brandon Miller debunks viral video, says people in NBA should 'have more fun'

The No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft has wasted no time making waves, for good, bad and somewhat confusing reasons. While Charlotte Hornets forward Brandon Miller showcased his talent and upside during the 2023 NBA Summer League, he also drew some criticism for poor shooting and a lack of discipline at other times. But the latest reason for his name circling the internet involved a viral video in which he said he didn't know who Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton was.

While the video was obviously a bit surprising, Miller spoke about the topic at the summer league and stated that he actually does know who Middleton is and that he was simply trolling the media. He proceeded to explain that he was "intentionally trolling" and believes people should have more fun in the NBA.

"I think people should have more fun in the NBA instead of just always serious. I think I can bring the fun back to the game ... I troll the media for fun."

Miller seems to have no issue creating buzz, especially when considering this comes just weeks after he boldly claimed to WCNC Charlotte that he can "see the Charlotte Hornets in the NBA Finals next year." At this point, it seems more likely that he was trolling a bit with that comment as well, considering the Hornets' lack of overall success.
