Are you still recovering from Tuesday's Valentine Day's chocolate coma? Don't lie. You know you are. Valentine's Day features a little bit of everything — romance, flowers, jewelry, dinner, wine, etc. — but it's not complete until you start eating all that chocolate your significant other got you. But it has its price, kind of like a hangover after a hard night of partying.
Fortunately for you, we've got an NBA parlay to help make your "chocolate hangover" a little bit better. Wednesday's NBA slate doesn't feature a ton of games, but it does feature two teams — New Orleans and San Antonio — that are really scuffling. So, we decided to take both their opponents in a two-leg parlay. And best of all, you're getting great odds. Not just even odds or +120 odds — we're talking +133 odds.
The Spurs and Hornets both stink, but the Spurs stink worst, or more, however you want to say it, and that's why we're taking Charlotte over San Antonio to kick off our NBA parlay. The Spurs have lost 13 consecutive games — yes, 13 — and until they snap their skid, we're going to continue to take their opponent. And it's not like most of these games have been close either. Not a single one has been within one possession, so betting against San Antonio is a must.
We're well aware Charlotte isn't all that much better, but they're definitely not on San Antonio's level. Plus, Charlotte took down Atlanta on Monday, giving the Hornets a little bit of extra momentum heading into Wednesday's showdown against San Antonio. Don't be surprised if this game is close, but going against San Antonio is 100% the right play.
As for the final leg of our parlay, take the Lakers over the Pelicans. New Orleans just isn't all that good without Zion Williamson, making this an easy pick, too. The Pelicans are 13-16 without Zion this season, and even if LeBron James doesn't play for Los Angeles, the Lakers on the moneyline is still a safe bet.
Without James on Saturday, the Lakers beat Golden State. Yeah, we know Steph Curry was a no-go for Golden State, but still, somewhat impressive. That alone should make you feel confident the Lakers can beat the Pelicans, regardless if James plays or not.
The Lakers are 1-1 so far this season against New Orleans, but the Pelicans have simply had no answer for Anthony Davis in both of those games. We're pretty confident James plays on Wednesday, and even more so that the Lakers pull out a hard-fought win.
The Parlay: Charlotte Hornets (moneyline) and Los Angeles Lakers (moneyline) (+133 odds via DraftKings)

Eagles lose both coordinators to head coaching jobs just days after Super Bowl defeat — Philadelphia's quest to return to the Super Bowl will look a whole lot different next season as both its offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator accepted head coaching jobs on Tuesday. Raiders release QB Carr before contract deadline — The Las Vegas Raiders officially released Derek Carr on Tuesday after the veteran quarterback declined to waive his no-trade clause just before his $40 million contract would have been guaranteed for next season on Tuesday. Carr has played all nine seasons of his NFL career for the Raiders and is now a free agent for the first time in his career. The four-time Pro Bowl QB finishes his Raiders tenure with a 63-79 record and zero playoff wins. The Raiders are currently 25/1 favorites to win the AFC and 40/1 favorites to win the Super Bowl in 2024.
Ovechkin out for Capitals due to family matter — Washington Capitals center Alex Ovechkin is expected to miss an extended period of time in order to attend to a family matter and the health of a loved one, according to multiple sources on Tuesday. Ovechkin moved into second place on the all-time NHL scoring list earlier this year and has led the Capitals to a 28-22 record through 50 games. The Capitals (-160) are currently favorites to make the playoffs, but that could quickly change depending on how much time the captain misses.
