Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

The Hornets have waived forward Xavier Sneed, point guard Jalen Crutcher and guard Ty-Shon Alexander, the team announced in a press release.

Sneed, 24, is 6-foot-5 and spent last season with the Jazz on a two-way contract, appearing in seven NBA games. He spent the rest of his time with the Salt Lake City Stars of the G League, averaging 15.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 15 games.

Crutcher is 6-2 and hails from Dayton, where he averaged 17.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists as a senior. He was also named first-team All-Atlantic 10 for a second straight season. He was waived by the Jazz in mid-September.

Alexander, 24, is 6-3 and appeared in 15 games with the Suns in 2020-21, playing professionally in Italy last season. Like the others, he could be headed for the Greensboro Swarm of the G League if he clears waivers.

As we relayed earlier right here, the Hornets also waived forward LiAngelo Ball.
