Giannis Antetokounmpo trade chatter is already loud across the NBA, and now Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun has officially entered the conversation.

Sengun’s rise in Houston has been impossible to ignore. The 23-year-old has turned into a 20-point, 12-rebound, playmaking big with All-Star credentials, even while operating in a messy roster fit. His playoff stretch against the Lakers only added fuel, showing he can produce under pressure despite spacing issues and limited shooting help.

Per NBA insider Sam Amick, Sengun has been mentioned in potential trade frameworks tied to discussions about Giannis Antetokounmpo. The idea isn’t that he’s the centerpiece alone, but that he could headline a strong package as Milwaukee evaluates long-term direction.

“Alperen Sengun has reportedly been mentioned in potential trade conversations involving Giannis Antetokounmpo.”

For now, nothing is close. However, the fact that Sengun is even in Antetokounmpo-related conversations shows how fast his value has climbed.

Warriors Enter Win-Now Mode With Giannis Antetokounmpo on Their Radar

The Warriors are expected to push hard for Antetokounmpo this offseason after missing the playoffs. With the Stephen Curry era at its final stretch, Golden State knows it needs another superstar to stay in the title hunt.

Their previous swing at contention with Jimmy Butler didn’t go as planned after his ACL injury derailed the season. That setback forced the Warriors back into the trade market, and adding the Bucks star would instantly reshape their chances in the Western Conference.

However, the timing might be slipping. Per Sam Amick and Eric Nehm of “The Athletic”, competition for Antetokounmpo has increased. Also, Golden State may no longer have the strongest package on the table. Even a top draft pick might decide how far they can realistically go.
