How Are Draymond Green and Stephen Curry Dealing With Their Declines?

Stephen Curry and Draymond Green are one of the most iconic NBA duos of all time, right up there with Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen and Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant.

Curry is the NBA's greatest shooter and offers an offensive skillset that was unheard of before he graced an NBA court, and Green is the ultimate enforcer and glue guy who does all the dirty work so the rest of the Golden State Warriors don't have to.

Together, the two have won four titles and are certainly both first-ballot Hall of Famers.

Curry is 36 years old and Green is 34, and both know that they are past their primes. Each of them still produces at a high level, but the clock is ticking and Father Time remains undefeated.

As the Golden State Warriors struggle to remain above .500 on the season and make the playoffs, Curry described him and Green as "desperate" to go on at least one more run together before they hang them up.

"Me and Draymond aren't in our prime," Curry offered to Malika Andrews on ESPN. "We're in a situation where we have to think about the game differently, but if you're not winning, how do you make that happen? For me, I know I only have a certain amount of years left, and I want to win desperately."

Everyone dreams of riding off into the sunset à la David Robinson, who retired immediately after winning his second title, but more often than not, stars end their careers far from their prime like Shaq did with the Boston Celtics.

The Warriors started their season 12-3 and demonstrated that they can still be elite, but Curry and Green both know that the end is getting closer than they might want to admit.
