Additionally, Anthony Davis contributed 16 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 assists, marking the sole double-double of the night.

The Lakers, who boast 17 NBA championships (the most recent in 2020), are aiming for a new trophy to add to their collection. The Los Angeles team had prevailed over the Phoenix Suns with a score of 106-103 in the quarterfinals. Previously, they had led West Group A with four victories, achieving an overall streak of six consecutive wins in the tournament.

The Indiana Pacers prevailed over the Bucks by 128-119 in the semifinals, showcasing a strong team performance that included five players scoring in double digits.

Tyrese Haliburton recorded a double-double in the victory over the Bucks, tallying 27 points, 15 assists, and 7 rebounds. The point guard had already stood out in the previous phase, recording a triple-double in the victory over the Celtics, with 26 points, 13 assists, and 10 rebounds.

The Pacers had reached the semifinals following the 122-112 victory over the Boston Celtics in the quarter-final. They had ended the group zone atop of East Group A with a perfect record of 4-0.
