Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has been on a tear to start the 2023-24 NBA season. Through the first four games, the 35-year-old has averaged 33.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game while shooting 52.4 percent from the field and a ridiculous 48.8 percent from three-point range.
He's made at least four three-pointers in every game, while knocking down six or more in three of four, with all three of those games coming consecutively following the team's opening-night loss to the Phoenix Suns.
Even more importantly, the Warriors are now 3-0 in the games in which Curry has made six or more shots from beyond the arc this season. Amid Curry's red-hot start to the season, a stat came to light that shows just how dominant and exceptional of a player and specifically a scoring threat he's been throughout his career.
The stat, courtesy of StatMamba on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, didn't include his most recent game in which he made seven three-points, but broke down the total number of games Curry, Klay Thompson and Damian Lillard have had with seven or more three-pointers.
It's just an astronomical difference, and when considering that even prior to his performance against the Pelicans, he had shot 42.8 percent from three-point range over 885 career regular-season games, it makes it all the more incredible.
