Indiana Pacers President, Kevin Pritchard, told news media that Tyrese Haliburton will miss the entire 2025 – 2026 season. He was also very vocal about letting Haliburton play the rest of the NBA Finals with a strained calf. He said if he had to do it again, he would not change a thing. The question now is what the Indiana Pacers will look like in the upcoming season without their superstar. Let’s dive into what the team will look like in 2025 – 2026.

Pacers Will Look Different In Upcoming Season

The Pacers will be without Haliburton for the entire season, so that begs the question: Who will the team have starting? The team has also lost its longest-tenured player, Myles Turner, in free agency. With that being said, that leaves two big spots open in the starting rotation. The three starters returning will be Pascal Siakam, Andrew Nembhard, and Aaron Nesmith. The team traded for Jay Huff from the Timberwolves to help fill the Turner void.

The team will also look for players like T.J. McConnell and Benedict Mathurin to step into a much bigger role next season. The team has made the right choice to be successful. The Pacers need Haliburton to return to playing at that elite level, rather than trying to find his conditioning and timing after a long layoff. Indiana is right to take the pressure off next season and think about the long term with Haliburton.

Final Thoughts

The 2025-26 season for the Indiana Pacers will be a season for growth for younger talent and building chemistry. The whole team believes Haliburton will be back better than ever, and they will be ready when he does. The right call has been made by the front office of the Pacers by not rushing this rehab and betting on this team with Haliburton running it. Stay tuned to Total Apex for all your NBA news.
