Indiana Pacers Sign Elite College 3-Point Shooter

The Indiana Pacers have played three preseason games and are coming off a 116-112 victory over the Atlanta Hawks (at home) on Monday night.

On Tuesday, the team announced that they have signed three new players. 

Via The Pacers: "We have signed guards Kyle Mangas and Darius McGhee, and forward Reid Travis."

McGhee played five seasons of college basketball for Liberty and is coming off a year where he averaged 22.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.6 steals per contest in 36 games.  

He also shot 43.9% from the field and 39.4% from the three-point range.  

The 24-year-old is an elite three-point shooter and has shot at least 38.6% over each of the past four seasons.  

Travis is coming off a season where he played 39 games for the Shimane Susanoo Magic and averaged 10.7 points and 6.1 rebounds per contest while shooting 51.5% from the field. 

Lastly, Mangas played in 33 games for Siauliai and averaged 12.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 48.9% from the field and 38.0% from the three-point range.  

As for the Pacers, they are coming off a year where they were the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 35-47 record. 

They were competitive to start the season but missed the NBA playoffs for the third straight year. 

The Pacers will play their first game of the 2023-24 regular season on October 25 when they host Jordan Poole and the Washington Wizards in Indianapolis, Indiana.
