Injury Report: Brooklyn Nets vs. New Orleans Pelicans
USA TODAY Sports

The Brooklyn Nets will head south to face the New Orleans Pelicans at Smoothie King Center. It's the second time this season the two powerhouses will meet this season, and one team will be missing one of their stars.

The Nets, once again, can have a clean injury report heading into the game. Brooklyn has listed veteran wing T.J. Warren as questionable with a left rib contusion. There is no further update on Warren's status at this time.

The team has assigned four players to their NBA G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets: David Duke Jr. (G League - Two-Way), Kessler Edwards (G League Assignment), Day'Ron Sharpe (G League Assignment), and Alondes Williams (G League - Two Way).

For the Pelicans, the team will be without star forward Zion Williamson (right hamstring strain). It was reported that Williamson will likely be out for a few weeks with the injury. New Orleans has also ruled out Brandon Ingram (Left Great Toe Contusion) and EJ Liddell (Right ACL Recovery. Both Willy Hernangomez (Left Ankle Sprain) and Larry Nance Jr. (Right Shoulder Soreness) are deemed questionable vs. the Nets.

The Nets, who are riding a four-game win streak at the Smoothie King Center, haven't lost in New Orleans since the 2018-19 season. On the other end, Brooklyn is in an unusual spot: rebounding from a defeat.

The team's third-longest win streak in franchise history (12 games) was snapped on Wednesday night after falling to the Chicago Bulls at the United Center. Despite the loss and sitting in the second seed in the Eastern Conference standings, Brooklyn took the loss on the chin and is ready to move past it.

"We're going to take this one on the chin like men and get ready for the rest of the game going forward," said Kyrie Irving after the defeat to the Bulls on Wednesday night."
