Is Mavericks’ Luka Doncic playing vs. Timberwolves in Game 3? Latest injury update

Luka Doncic was listed as probable on the NBA injury report for each of the first two games of the Western Conference Finals. He ended up playing in both games, but the Mavs star is on the injury report once again for Game 3.

Maxi Kleber (shoulder) and Olivier-Maxence Prosper (ankle) have already been ruled out for the game. For the Minnesota Timberwolves, Mike Conley is questionable with a right soleus strain. Doncic, meanwhile, is battling a right knee sprain and left ankle soreness.

Doncic was at shoot-around on Sunday morning.

Still, the Mavs will closely monitor his injury situation ahead of tip-off. Doncic has yet to miss a contest in the NBA playoffs. He has made it clear that he’s willing to play despite the injury concerns. And he has performed well so far in this series.

Game 3 is a pivotal affair. If the Mavericks can earn a victory, they will be in complete control with a 3-0 lead. If the Timberwolves can find a way to win, however, then Minnesota will steal a crucial amount of momentum. Additionally, the Timberwolves will guarantee that at least one more game will be played in Minnesota with a Game 3 victory.

There’s no question that Game 3 holds plenty of importance. So is Luka Doncic playing tonight vs. the Timberwolves?

Luka Doncic injury status for Game 3

Doncic is currently listed as questionable for Game 3 with his knee and ankle concerns. Again, Luka has been listed as probable or questionable on a fairly consistent basis during the postseason. Nevertheless, the fact that he was probable in Games 1 and 2 and is now questionable is something to keep an eye on.

Luka led the Mavs to a Game 2 win. Doncic recorded a 32-point, 13-assist, 10-rebound triple-double. The Mavericks star also made a game-winning shot with just seconds remaining on the clock. Dallas ultimately won by a final score of 109-108.

Dallas is in a good position. The Timberwolves are not going to back down, though. Teams tend to be most dangerous in must-win contests, which is what Game 3 represents for Minnesota.

Still, the Mavericks certainly have confidence at the moment.

However, when it comes to the question of if Luka Doncic is playing tonight vs. the Timberwolves, the answer is uncertain.
