On Monday night, Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving suffered a knee injury and was forced to leave the team's game against the Sacramento Kings after nine minutes. Unfortunately for Irving, on Tuesday morning, it was revealed that Irving suffered a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the season. This impacted many fans and players, including Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant.
Morant and the Grizzlies went head-to-head against Irving's Mavericks twice already this season with each team splitting the season series. with both teams set to go up against each other once again this Friday. However, despite their battles, Morant recently put that to the side to show his support for Irving.
After news of Irving's injury broke, everybody in the basketball world made their feelings known. The Mavericks guard is easily one of the most skilled players in the history of the NBA and is one of the most fun players to watch. Additionally, many players of the current generation have been inspired by Irving's game.
Morant took to social media to show his support for the one-time champion after his season-ending injury.

Irving, who will turn 33 years old on March 23, was in the midst of a solid season. Through 50 games, he averaged 24.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 1.3 steals. Additionally, he shot 47.3% from the field and 40.1% from the three-point line.
In addition to their matchup on Friday, the Grizzlies and Mavericks will also meet up on April 13, the final game of the season for both teams. With Irving now out for the rest of the season, it will be worth following the Mavericks' place in the standings. They currently own the No. 10 seed and are in danger of missing the postseason completely.
