The Oklahoma City Thunder have a blockbuster Western Conference road matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday, but both teams may be without some of their key players.
Oklahoma City enters Wednesday’s game amid a four-game winning streak. They have also won eight of their last 10 games as their dominant season has continued.
For the Grizzlies, they have struggled recently, having lost seven of their past 10 contests including three consecutive.
With the Grizzlies already struggling, it may become even worse for them against a red-hot Thunder team as they may once again be without their star point guard Ja Morant.
Memphis has listed Morant as questionable for Wednesday’s game with a shoulder injury. Of course, Morant has been sidelined for the Grizzlies past two contests due to his injury and he is in danger of missing his third consecutive game.
If Morant does miss Wednesday’s game, it would be a massive blow for the Grizzlies. Morant has been their best player the entire season and they will need all the help they can get to take down Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder.
Morant is not the only players the Grizzlies may be without though, as they have also listed Santi Aldama, John Konchar and Scotty Pippen Jr. as questionable while already ruling out Jaren Jackson Jr., Yuki Kawamura and Zyon Pullin.
On the other side, the Thunder will also be without a few of their key players as they have ruled out both Chet Holmgren and Alex Caruso. Oklahoma City has also listed Aaron Wiggins as questionable.
The good news for the Thunder is that Isaiah Joe will be available on Wednesday night after missing their prior two games due to a back injury.
Fans can catch Wednesday’s Western Conference showdown between the Thunder and Grizzlies at 9:30 p.m. EST on ESPN.
