After being waived by the Chicago Bulls due to his Pride Night comments, it looks like Jaden Ivey won’t go down without a fight.
The Bulls decided to let go of the now embattled 24-year-old due to his anti-LGBT remarks on his Instagram account. Ivey, a renowned Christian, has condemned the league for consistently promoting Pride Night. And now, he has set his eyes on Warriors star Stephen Curry, calling out the latter for his constant cursing.
“That’s why you got Steph Curry, and y’all believe he’s a Christian because he wrote Philippians 4:13. Y’all think he’s a Christian, but he’s cursing just like the world,” Jaden Ivey said about Steph.

Cursing is quite common, not just in the NBA but also in other professional leagues. But for Ivey, that narrative contradicts what he believes in, especially his faith. Since he was waived, he can now openly target anyone who opposes his views. The NBA has yet to decide whether to ban him for his remarks.
Safe to say that we can all expect swift action from Adam Silver in the near future.
The former 2022 lottery pick has only suited up in four games for the Chicago Bulls this season. Once part of the young Detroit Pistons core, there were initial hopes that Ivey could be the long-term partner for Josh Giddey in the Bulls’ backcourt after acquiring him at the trade deadline.
However, after the recent fiasco, that partnership will never materialize. In addition, Bulls coach Billy Donovan was extremely wary about Jaden Ivey’s declining basketball skills. The once-talented guard has not played at a high level after suffering a broken left fibula last year.
In 37 games for both Detroit and Chicago this season, Ivey only averaged 8-2-1 splits per game.
