The NBA is featuring several intense matchups as the postseason approaches, and the recent game between the Phoenix Suns and Orlando Magic was a thrilling display of action, thanks to Jalen Green’s heroic final moments.

Green’s absence loomed large over the Suns this season, as he only managed to play in 8 of the 57 games due to a nagging hamstring issue. Yet, when the 24-year-old guard does step onto the court, he certainly makes his presence felt.

In an intense matchup against the Magic, the Suns faced a tough challenge after guard Dillon Brooks exited just seven minutes into the game with a broken left hand. Rising to the occasion, Green delivered a clutch performance that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

The game went into double overtime, and in the thrilling final moments, Green sank a buzzer-beating 3-pointer from the right corner, sealing a dramatic 113-110 win for the Suns. In the post-game interview, the 24-year-old guard opened up about his desire to take that final shot.

“That’s a great feeling to see that go in. The guys supported me the whole way through the night. I mean, it was a rough night. But we’re out there fighting and doing everything we can to take the lead in double overtime. My guys and the coaches just telling me to keep my head up. And I wanted that last shot,” Green said.

Green, who dropped an F-bomb in a post-game interview back in December 2025, wrapped up the night with 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Despite a rocky start, hitting just 5 of his first 25 attempts, Green rose to the occasion when it mattered most. His clutch plays in the closing moments transformed a tough game into an unforgettable performance. With a stunning buzzer-beater in double overtime, Green achieved an extraordinary feat that hasn’t been seen since 2016, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.

The Suns are riding high with impressive wins, but a cloud looms over their season. While there’s been no recent update on Brooks’ condition, Shams Charania has revealed that doctors are scheduled to meet to discuss his recovery timeline. With the Suns sitting in seventh place in the Western Conference, Brooks’ absence could put their playoff hopes at risk.
