Jalen Williams Has Honest Response After Thunder's Game 1 Finals Loss to Pacers

The Oklahoma City Thunder suffered their most embarrassing loss of the NBA season in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, losing to the Indiana Pacers 111-110 after Tyrese Haliburton hit his fifth game-winning shot of the playoffs.

The Thunder led by 15 points in the fourth quarter and held a commanding and comfortable lead well into the final minutes before blowing it down the stretch.

While OKC might be demoralized after the loss, Jalen Williams insists that it's nothing they haven't seen before.

The Thunder, like the Pacers, lost only four games in the playoffs on the way to the Finals, although three of those losses came at the hands of the Denver Nuggets, including a Game 1 heartbreaker in the first round.

"It sucks, but we have been here before," said Williams after the game. "Obviously, like the Denver series, we're probably around the same thing, to be totally honest. So, we'll get back to zero-zero, look at what we can do to get better, and it's first to four. So, regardless of if it's the Finals or, you know, round one, round two, you still have to win four games, so we'll take that and be ready for Game 2."

Against the Nuggets, the Thunder led by 14 points and 12 in the fourth quarter before Aaron Gordon hit a game-winning 3.

The Thunder would go on to take that game, and while fans are right to claim that the Finals are vastly different than the second round, both are a seven-game series, and the Thunder are still heavy favorites for a reason.
