The Los Angeles Clippers are hitting their stride at the perfect time, winning eight of their last nine games to climb the Western Conference standings.
Now just one game behind the Golden State Warriors, who currently hold the sixth seed and a guaranteed playoff berth, the Clippers are making a serious postseason push.
Los Angeles extended its winning streak to five on Friday night with a commanding 128-108 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, fueled by another standout performance from James Harden.
The 35-year-old guard delivered 30 points, nine assists and four rebounds, shooting 8-of-14 from the field while draining five three-pointers. He also went 9-of-10 from the free-throw line and contributed two steals and two blocks in a well-rounded outing.
Harden had already rediscovered his vintage form prior to Friday's win. He came into the matchup averaging 29.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 9.3 assists across his last eight games, leading the league in total assists and three-pointers made during that stretch while ranking second in total points scored.
His playmaking and shot-making have been instrumental in keeping the Clippers in contention as the regular season winds down.

Kawhi Leonard tallied 23-points 10 rebounds for the Clippers, while Ivica Zubac also had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds and Bogdan Bogdanovic chipped in with 16 points.
Los Angeles erupted for 68 second-half points, turning a six-point deficit into a comfortable 20-point victory. The Clippers' defense also tightened up after halftime, limiting Memphis' offensive rhythm and forcing tough shots.
For the Grizzlies, Ja Morant remained sidelined for the fourth consecutive game with a hamstring injury. Memphis has gone 15-13 without him this season, compared to 28-15 when he has played.
In his absence, Jaren Jackson Jr. led the team with 23 points on inefficient 9-of-24 shooting, while Santi Aldama posted 16 points and seven assists. Scotty Pippen Jr. and Luke Kennard each added 15 points.
The Grizzlies, now 43-28, have lost three straight as the Clippers, Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves gain ground in the standings.
With a 40-30 record, the Clippers have now won all three meetings against Memphis this season and six straight overall in the matchup. Their playoff push continues on Sunday against the high-flying Oklahoma City Thunder.
