Memphis Grizzlies rookie forward Jaren Jackson Jr. has agreed to a four-year, $105 million contract extension, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Monday morning.
Jackson Jr., 22, was drafted fourth overall by the Grizzlies in 2018 and quickly became one of Memphis' brightest young stars. The Michigan State product has averaged 15.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.5 blocks through his professional career despite missing time last season due to a meniscus injury and has set multiple team, and league, records along the way.
Jackson Jr.'s new four-year agreement was finalized ahead of Monday's deadline for the 2018 draft class.
The Grizzlies open up the regular season at home on Friday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
