Jason Kidd ejected after beefing with Scott Foster

Jason Kidd got tossed from Saturday’s game between the Dallas Mavericks and Chicago Bulls after feuding with a familiar foe.

The Mavs head coach got into it with Scott Foster in the first quarter of the interconference clash at United Center in Chicago, Ill.

Kidd was upset over a defensive goaltending call that went against Dallas.

Foster hit Kidd with two technical fouls in quick succession to eject the veteran coach.

It’s understandable why Kidd was upset. Replays showed that Mavericks wing Max Christie pinned Bulls guard Ayo Dosunmu’s layup on the backboard before it touched glass.

Perhaps Kidd was still frustrated from the news that All-Star big man Anthony Davis suffered yet another long-term injury. Davis could be out of the lineup for multiple months as he recovers from ligament damage in his left hand.

It’s also possible Kidd has some leftover animosity with Foster from his time as a player. Foster has not exactly had the most sterling reputation among players in his three decades blowing the whistle for the NBA.
