Jaylen Brown Is Hyped About Malcolm Brogdon's Addition To The Celtics: "Really Good At Basketball..."
Paul Rutherford-USA TODAY Sports

Jaylen Brown is a fan of the Malcolm Brogdon addition.

The Boston Celtics made the NBA Finals during the 2022 playoffs but were unfortunately defeated by the Golden State Warriors, even though they were up 2-1 in the series.

This summer, the team ended up adding guard Malcolm Brogdon to try to improve their team. It has been noted that he would be playing the sixth man role for the team this year.

Most recently, Celtics All-Star Jaylen Brown has spoken highly about Malcolm Brogdon's addition to the Boston Celtics. He noted that the guard is a "threat at all times", and added that Brogdon makes the team "hard to cover" for the opposing defense.

Malcolm's really good at basketball... he’s a threat at all times, and he’s definitely going to make us better overall. He’s more than capable of being a go-to player in this league. For him, being able to come in, run things, and also get us all going, as you saw tonight he had a well-balanced game… He makes it easier for me, he’s a threat out there, he’s able to score the ball, get to his right hand, he’s able to make the right read. So you’ve gotta respect him, each and every night. And that makes us harder to cover because you’ve got to pick and choose who you want to stop.

It is clear that Jaylen Brown has a high opinion of his new teammate. Hopefully, we will see Malcolm Brogdon help the team reach the Finals once again during the 2022-23 season.

The Boston Celtics Are Aiming For The Championship

There is no doubt that the ultimate goal for the Boston Celtics next season is the NBA championship, not just a Finals appearance. They have the talent to achieve that goal, and anything less will likely be a disappointment to the fanbase.

Obviously, the Eastern Conference is not going to be a cakewalk for the team. There will be other elite teams that are contenders within the conference, such as the Milwaukee Bucks, the Philadelphia 76ers, and the Brooklyn Nets. There are some teams on the periphery looking in as well, such as the Atlanta Hawks and the Toronto Raptors.

However, the Boston Celtics have the ability to contend with any of those teams in a seven-game series. However, they will have to develop chemistry during the regular season and sustain continuous excellence to be fresh for the playoffs, and avoid having to claw back up the standings. Hopefully, we see the team find success during the 2022-23 season, and we'll see how far they go.
