Jaylen Brown has been a driving force behind the Boston Celtics resurgence during the 2025-26 NBA season, particularly in a year where expectations dipped following Jayson Tatum’s injury. With Boston’s franchise cornerstone missing extended time, the five-time All-Star stepped into the lead role and helped keep the Celtics firmly in contention in the Eastern Conference.

Brown is averaging approximately 28.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game, and his production has been a key reason Boston holds a 53-25 record, good for the second best record in the East, despite navigating long stretches without Tatum.

With Tatum now back in the lineup, Boston is entering the final stretch of the regular season with renewed optimism. The expectation is that the Celtics can make another championship push, with Brown’s elevated play this season giving the team a stronger foundation heading into the playoffs.

As Brown and the Celtics prepare to close out the regular season, he also made a significant move off the court. The Ones Basketball League, founded by Tracy McGrady, announced Tuesday that its final ownership spots have been filled.

Muggsy Bogues will lead a Baltimore-based team, while Brown will take over the Atlanta franchise. The move makes Brown the first active NBA player to own and manage a team in the league.

The decision adds to Brown’s growing portfolio beyond basketball. He has been involved in multiple ventures spanning technology, education and community-focused initiatives, continuing to build a reputation as one of the NBA’s most business-minded players.

As Brown scores another major deal, the 2024 Finals MVP will look to help Boston finish the regular season strong with upcoming games against the Charlotte Hornets, New York Knicks, New Orleans Pelicans and Orlando Magic.
