Jaylen Brown's Injury Status Before New York Knicks-Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics are at that point of the season where they do not have a lot to play for. This could offer the New York Knicks a much-needed break on Tuesday night.

The Celtics, barring a miracle, are locked into the second seed in the Eastern Conference ahead of the 2025 NBA Playoffs. Their focus will be entering the postseason and securing back-to-back championships.

The Knicks are trending towards locking up the third seed in the Eastern Conference. However, there is still a chance, albeit small, that the Indiana Pacers leapfrog them in the standings. Every win matters for New York. That's why they will likely be happy to see the injury status of Jaylen Brown ahead of this matchup.

The Celtics star is one of several players whose on-court presence is up in the air ahead of Tuesday night's tipoff.

Brown (knee) is listed as questionable for this one. Last year's Finals MVP is joined on the injury report by the rest of the Celtics' starting lineup, as well as a key bench piece.

Jayson Tatum (ankle) and Kristaps Porzingis (non-COVID illness) are both listed as questionable for this matchup as well. Derrick White (sprained right big toe) and Jrue Holiday (right shoulder impingement) are both probable to play against the Knicks.

A key name who is listed as out for the Celtics would be Al Horford. The veteran big man will miss the game against the Knicks due to a knee injury.

As the Knicks enter the final parts of the 2024-25 regular season, seeing matchups like this, with a long list of stars on the injury report, will not be uncommon. There should be reason to believe the Knicks will soon be in the exact same boat.
