The Boston Celtics were dealt a horrible blow at the end of last season when Jayson Tatum tore his Achilles tendon in the second round of the playoffs against the Knicks.
Not only did the Celtics lose their best player for the rest of the playoffs, but they will also likely lose him for all of this season, as well. Without him, not many pundits are giving them a chance to compete.

Tatum is trying his absolute hardest to get back on the court as fast as he can. He reportedly has been getting into the facility for rehab almost every day.
According to NBC Sports Boston' Darren Hartwell, Tatum has been in the facility rehabbing his injury almost every single day since he had his surgery.
"The Celtics are very happy with how hard Jayson Tatum has been working at his rehab, and his level of focus and intensity in the rehab process," Hartwell writes.
Tatum has been focused on getting healthy as quickly as possible, even making sure that he doesn't leave town for unscheduled trips.
"(Tatum) did not leave town. He has been here the entire time," Hartwell writes. "Since the injury, he has not left town and he has been inside the building at the Celtics’ facility with their people and their team almost every single day for months."
It's good news for Celtics fans that he is taking his rehab as seriously as he possibly can. He's making sure that he can do everything he can to get back as soon as possible.

The Celtics are very happy with what Tatum has been doing with his injury. They are thrilled that he is taking things so seriously.
"All summer long, all he did was take weekend trips away. He did not go away for any extended period of time, because he wanted to be back to work on his rehab. He’s doing things that nobody asked him to do."
Last season, Tatum averaged 26.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, and six assists per game. He shot 45.2 percent from the field and 34.3 percent from beyond the 3-point arc.
